Matthew Edward Loh
Chief Executive Officer, Co-founder
Matthew Edward Loh, co-founder of Bio Ark Global, is revolutionizing green sustainability. Formerly a celebrated multi-award commercial photographer and TVC director, Loh co-founded SMG with JJ Lin and transformed Singapore’s nightlife by creating the iconic Gem Bar at Ann Siang Hill. Now, his focus is on healing the environment. Using his creative and entrepreneurial expertise, he leads Bio Ark Global in transforming organic waste into high-nutrient fertilizers, restoring soil health, and advancing sustainable agriculture. Driven by a passion for impact as his generation’s story, Loh’s journey from a creative powerhouse to an environmental advocate is reshaping the future for a resilient, greener world.
Jeremy Chua
Chief Technical Officer, Co-founder
Jeremy is driven by a passion for sustainable and regenerative systems encompassing life’s fundamental aspects. Inspired by Singapore’s successful water sustainability efforts in 2010, he embarked on a mission to achieve self-sufficiency in urban food production by applying technology and well-designed processes. As a pioneer in urban farming, Jeremy co-founded Comcrop in 2012 and MEOD in 2015, spearheading the initial wave of this movement in Singapore. Today, drawing upon his nine years of expertise, Jeremy is dedicated to developing innovative solutions and offering sustainable, regenerative alternatives for growers in our food systems.
Edmond Wong
Chief Financial Officer
Edmond started his career in investment banking specialising in Fixed Income with JP Morgan and ABN Amor Bank. Partnering with institutional clients to manage their portfolios, develop investment strategies and corporate finance.
In 2000, Edmond moved into the media industry working on financing and producing programs for MTV, VH1 and Nickelodeon. He later became the Supervising Producer for 360 Media and Lux Lucis creating content in entertainment and documentaries.
For the past 9 years, Edmond has been working on Eden in Iraq an initiative using wastewater garden design and environmental art to revitalise a parched region in southern Iraq. Collaborating with Federal and local municipalities to complete phase one of the project that has improved the water conditions by sevenfold.

Adam serves as the corporate counterbalance to his more “entrepreneuristic” partners, drawing from his experience in regional leadership roles within both the financial and engineering sectors across Asia. During the launch of Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 4, Adam was the appointed main-con’s Project Manager for the terminal’s operation & maintenance project, whereby he developed initial protocols & SOPs from scratch. Adam’s expertise in managing large-scale engineering operations will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of Bio Ark’s operations on a global scal
Lionel Ang
Investment & Strategic Planning Advisor
Lionel Ang is an accomplished entrepreneur and strategic leader with over a decade in strategy, innovation, business development, and talent acquisition. He began by launching business units for multinationals before moving to entrepreneurship, co-founding startups in plant-based foods, AI and robotics, arts, real estate, and co-working. He founded Afterglow Concepts in 2013, a pioneer in Singapore’s plant-based sector, and co-founded Getai Group for arts festivals. In real estate, he launched Lepark, transforming a rooftop, and Keong Saik Collab, a coworking hub for tech and creative startups. His venture Red Dot Robotics advanced AI for remote work. These experiences fuel his leadership at Innovation 360 Group AB, promoting innovation management (ISO56000) across Asia. Lionel is certified in Innovation Management by Innovation 360 and as a Leadership Coach with the John Maxwell Team. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Nanyang Technological University and an Executive MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology.

Alwin Lily is the Principal Director for Indonesia at Bio Ark. Alwin operates a diversified portfolio, and is the proprietor of numerous enterprises across key growth sectors in Indonesia, including healthcare, manufacturing, and trading. He is also an esteemed figure in the hospitality industry, holding membership in PHRI (Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association). Alwin plays a pivotal role in facilitating Bio Ark’s expansion efforts within the region, leveraging his extensive experience and robust network of business connections in Indonesia.
Ronnie Tan
Chief HR Advisor
Software Engineer turned consultant turned HR professional. Passionate about people, tech, innovation and sustainability. Ronnie leads the HR function of a Climate Tech company as its Chief HR Officer, overseeing people teams across the Asia, Europe and North America regions. Previously, Ronnie was a senior HR leader with Grab. With Grab’s rapid expansion, Ronnie held a pivotal role in growing Grab’s talent and culture across the business, from technology and product teams to business verticals and corporate functions. He is a trusted business partner with the mission to unleash the full potential of the organization and its people. Ronnie has held multiple senior leadership positions with multinationals like Hewlett-Packard, and local start-ups, bringing with him in-depth HR and consulting experience. Throughout his career, he has been leading teams in implementing an array of large-scale business- and HR transformations, and talent management programs globally.
